When it comes to your personal Christian education and knowledge keep in mind that we all learn at different paces and through different seasons in our lives. You should look at your Christian education the same way we look at our secular education...
Where are you in YOUR Christian Education?
The links below are a good measure of where you are in your Christian education. As in secular education there are a few basic subjects that will follow you through your education process. The subjects of math, science, social studies, and grammar (speaking and writing) are considered core subjects that will follow you from elementary through high school. In the same way God has a few core subjects that follow you through YOUR personal Christian education.
THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS As you mature, progress, and graduate from one grade level to another your core subjects become a little more challenging. God's personal Christian educational process is the same and His core subjects become more challenging as we mature and graduate from the simpler things we have previously learned.
AND THEN THERE IS...COLLEGE There is one different thing about a college education and that one thing is that YOU choose to pursue and attend college. From elementary to high school you were forced (pretty much) to attend school. College is truly a personal choice. People who choose to attend college are seeking advanced knowledge on particular subjects that interest them. You may even say that college students enter college with an internal drive to achieve a certain standard of understanding and achievement. Attending the classes and completing the required study and coursework is completely up to the student.
In the same way your Christian Education may mirror a college education in that you may obtain an internal drive or interest in a particular area of the Christian life. As with college it may be a personal interest to learn more about yourself or another topic and / or to begin a life of full time ministry (serving others). As with college, attending classes and doing the required study and coursework is completely up to the student. Now while you may be thinking that I am speaking of actually enrolling and attending a college or university I am not. I am speaking of you personally diving into the bible and learning on a deeper level with the Holy Spirit guiding you.
